While riding, the STEPS remains surprisingly agile despite its heavy load. Nevertheless, you should be aware of the total weight—that is, the bike, the load, and the rider. Extra caution is recommended when starting off, mounting, or cornering. And even though the hydraulic disc brakes are powerful, at higher speeds, it's worth allowing plenty of stopping distance.
At 27 kg, the STEPS is a real lightweight compared to other e-cargo bikes. And at 195 cm long, it's barely larger than a regular city bike. This makes it easy to maneuver through basement entrances, narrow doorways, or tight garages – making maneuvering much more relaxed than with bulky longtails or tricycles.
Our goal: a bike that won't slow you down – even when it comes to maintenance. The carbon belt replaces the traditional chain and requires no oil or retensioning.
